I feel currently as if I'm getting through every day doing the mental equivalent of limping and I'm tired nearly every moment that I'm not sleeping. And the thing of it is, I've done this too myself. Stevie got home about an hour ago, acting shockingly like a decent human being. (A friend he met in boot camp dragged Stevie home with him for Christmas, so he wasn't alone for that. Right now, I'm insanely happy that we've still got electricity. Its nine degrees and the wind chill is negative eleven, and the lights were flickering earlier, and I seriously don't want to think about how cold it would be if the power went out right now.

It's been over a week since I've had to set an alarm and get up stupidly early to go to class.

I went out and had lunch with several friends today. We went to this nice little coffee shop and I had a bagel sandwich and chips and a very yummy peppermint mocha coffee.
